Community Support by the Montoursville, Howard and Shamokin, PA CSC

Community support is important to us at Superior Plus Propane.  Our customer service center serving Montoursville, Howard, and Shamokin, PA is highly active in giving back to the residents of those communities.  This customer service center, led by manager John Schmalhofer, is busy throughout the year donating time, money and fuel to local charity events.

Local Sports Teams Support

One of the many ways in which the Montoursville, Howard, and Shamokin, PA office supports its local communities is through sponsoring youth sports teams.  By providing monetary donations to local teams, this office is helping give the children in these communities the opportunity to learn a sport and what it means to be a team player.  Throughout the years, this customer service center has sponsored a variety of sports teams from girls’ soccer to varsity football.  Some of the teams sponsored are the Montoursville High School football team, South Port River Rats 10U baseball team, Montoursville girls’ soccer, and Montoursville Little League, as well as the Jersey Shore, Mt. Carmel, Southern Columbia, and Shamokin football teams.  Additionally, the office has also supported the PIAA District 4 Football Playoffs and the PIAA Swim and Dive Championship.

Support of Local BBQ Event

The Montoursville, Howard, and Shamokin, PA office doesn’t end its community involvement with sponsoring local youth sports. It also made a donation to support a local barbecue event called The Smokey Pig BBQ. For this event, the Montoursville, Howard, and Shamokin, PA customer service center generously donated the propane cylinders used to cook the food served.  In exchange for the donated propane, a Superior Plus Propane banner was displayed at the event.

Support of Local Woman Battling Cancer

Perhaps the most meaningful and selfless charitable contribution the Montoursville, Howard, and Shamokin, PA customer service center has been making is a yearly monetary donation to a local resident who has been struggling to overcome cancer the past several years.  This donation highlights how this office contributes to important local causes in the communities it serves.
