Lowville, NY Office Supports Local Teachers
At Superior Plus Propane, we not only serve the communities we call home, we try to improve them and give back. Our Lowville, NY customer service center does just that each year by supporting local teachers.
Five years ago, Jamie Nakano, current Valley Forge contact center manager and former Lowville, NY customer service center manager had an idea of a community engagement program his then-office could create and sponsor for teachers in his area. Nakano partnered with Lowville Academy, the local school, to create Eats for Educators, an event celebrating educators and their support staff. The goal of the event has been to provide lunch or breakfast for teachers and staff at the school to show appreciation for their hard work. The event has been well-received in the school district.
This year, the Lowville office provided a breakfast of cinnamon buns and coffee, serving over sixty educators and staff. Nakano says the event is important because it shows appreciation for what teachers and school employees do each for our children each day, as well as builds “the relationship between the companies in the community and those that are shaping the future.”
