The following are sizes and specifications of some of our most commonly used propane tanks for residential and small commercial applications. Propane tank dimensions and capacities may vary by manufacturer.
20 lb. Cylinder
4.6 GAL. LPG CAPACITY
12” DIAMETER X 18” H
Ideal Use: Propane grills, generators, patio heaters, and other outdoor equipment.
Distance/Position: We do not install 20 lb. cylinders but recommend keeping them at least 5 feet from any structure

Ideal Use: Liquid draws. Most commonly used to operate propane powered forklifts and other propane autogas-fueled vehicles
Distance/Position: Attached to the machinery it will power in the horizontal position.

Ideal Use: Home fireplaces, cooking, dryers, barbecues, and commercial temporary heat on job sites
Distance/Position: The minimum distance from a door or window into a building is 3 feet. The minimum distance from the source of ignition is 5 feet.
